We are so excited to let everyone know that KERNOWSPA has moved business premises! After three wonderful years at Trereife Business Park near Penzance, we are now based at King Edward Mine near Troon. We needed bigger premises to cope with the growth of the business, and the development at King Edward Mine is perfect for us. We now have a much bigger manufacturing area as well as a shop which is due to open next month. This means that if you live locally you will now have the option to pick up your order from us and save on the postage costs!
King Edward Mine is the oldest and best preserved mine site within the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, and it was Camborne School of Mines training mine from 1888 until recently. It is home to the award winning King Edward Mine Museum, which tells the story of tin and copper mining in Cornwall, and it has daily demonstrations of a working mill.
At KEM nine work spaces have been created by carefully restoring and renovating the derelict Grade II* Listed historic Carpenters’ Shop and Count House. The renovation work has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cornwall Council.
We are very lucky to be in the largest workshop in Carpenters’ Shop. It has been beautifully restored to it’s former glory, and with views over the surrounding countryside it is an amazing and inspiring place to work.
The Assay Office complex opposite our workshop is also being converted into a cafe that is due to open in June 2016. We are looking forward to some lovely lunches there!
We look forward to welcoming customers old and new to our new place soon!
Best Wishes from Cornwall,
The KERNOWSPA Team
